Mourne Check Cushion

First created in collaboration with renowned designer Robin Day, this fabric became a defining element of his furniture for Hille in 1951, remaining a hallmark of mid-century style throughout his ten-year tenure with the brand.

Today, the Mourne Check is meticulously woven from a blend of durable linen and wool yarns, combining strength with a striking visual appeal. Its distinct check pattern is a testament to timeless design, offering a sophisticated touch to any interior while celebrating the enduring legacy of Mourne Textiles.

The Mourne Check Granite cushion captures the raw elegance of nature's neutral palette. Crafted with undyed natural wool yarn, it showcases warm, earthy tones reminiscent of rugged stone and weathered rock, grounded by the deep contrast of black linen threads woven throughout. 

Together, these yarns create a beautifully balanced, monochromatic check that reflects the strength and simplicity of granite landscapes.
