The Milano Rug defines our mid-century design heritage. It was first produced in 1951 when our founder Gerd Hay-Edie collaborated with furniture designer Robin Day on an installation for the Tiennale di Milano. The Milano Rug is handwoven using specialist techniques and combines three yarn types that create a unique surface texture.

Combining hand-selected fleece from local rare-breed sheep and traditional handweaving techniques, each of our Raw Fleece Wall Hangings is individually hand-woven and celebrates the natural tones and textures found in each unique fleece. Gradations of tone throughout the undyed fleece give wonderful depth of colour. Varying thicknesses within the hand-twisted fleece combine with speckly berber yarns and linen to create great textural interest.
