Mourne Tweed Offcut - Ink Blue

£96.00

Expertly woven from 100% Merino wool, Mourne Tweed fabric offers exceptional softness and warmth. Its natural insulating properties provide comfort without excessive weight, making it both practical and luxurious.

First created in 1964, this iconic fabric was originally known as the Irish Bedspread and was used in prominent Irish hotels. It was also featured in Hille’s furniture collection in the late 1960s, a testament to its timeless appeal.

Today, the Mourne Tweed fabric is faithfully reproduced using custom-spun yarns from Donegal, staying true to the original colourways. Steeped in heritage and crafted with care, it embodies the perfect blend of tradition and quality.

The Mourne Tweed Ink Blue fabric captures the deep, rich hues of twilight skies, reflecting the serene beauty of the Mourne Mountains. An inky blue base yarn is artfully woven with flecks of indigo and other captivating blue tones, evoking the stillness of a lake at dusk.

Earthy brown tones weave through the fabric, adding warmth and depth, reminiscent of rugged mountain paths and ancient woodlands. This harmonious blend of colours creates a timeless and grounding palette inspired by nature.

This shorter length is ideal for smaller creative projects such as homeware or upholstery. To keep costs down, the fabric will be sent folded in sustainable packaging.
