Lightweight Herringbone Offcut - Rust

Introducing our Lightweight Herringbone fabric, a stunning homage to the heritage of Mourne Textiles, originally woven by founder Gerd Hay-Edie as a heavily textured Couture Tweed. This modern reinterpretation employs luxurious Merino wool, custom spun for exceptional softness and durability, ensuring a sumptuous feel against the skin.

Our Rust Lightweight Herringbone fabric is inspired by the warm, earthy tones of the Mourne landscape. A vibrant orange rust yarn is interwoven with flecks of autumnal hues, including bright oranges, golden yellows, and deep browns, capturing the essence of fallen leaves in the changing season.

Complementing this vivid base is a darker brown yarn, subtly flecked with warm undertones that add depth and dimension to the weave. The result is a harmonious blend of colours, evoking sunlit hills and the soft glow of twilight.

This shorter length is ideal for smaller creative projects such as homeware or upholstery. To keep costs down, the fabric will be sent folded in sustainable packaging.
